Day 56 - 13 September 2009

I arrived in Brindisi last night at 8:37pm after wandering around the busy Saturday-night Italian city streets (and did I mention it was dark?) and managed to follow a series of Grecia signs to the dock where I figured I could find a hotel.  And my cunning plan worked!

This morning I used the internet to find the ferry operator that went to Brindisi to Patras, Greece (there turned out to be only one), and used to Skype to call them, and they said to come to the ferry terminal and buy a ticket.  And I was able to buy a private room and avoid fifteen hours of Screaming Children Hell, sitting in a chair that was not designed to be sat in.  So I’m typing this in my tiny stateroom.  When we arrive in Greece tomorrow morning, I should be good-to-go for sightseeing.  Speaking of which, lemme pull out the road atlas...
